From the moment of birth, identity is something taken, assigned, and controlled—not something owned. A child enters the world, and before their first breath is complete, a name is recorded, a number is assigned, and footprints are stamped onto paper—not for them, but for the system. A birth certificate is issued, not as proof of existence, but as an official claim—a declaration that identity belongs to the authorities before it belongs to the individual.
This is where it begins. And it only continues.
As life unfolds, identity remains something granted, revoked, and manipulated by institutions. Governments decide citizenship. Schools and employers dictate worth through credentials. Financial systems determine access based on permission. Every record, every number, every credential—issued not for the individual, but for the sake of control.
And then, one day, life ends.
And the identity that was never truly owned disappears.
- The government deletes the record of existence.
- A social security number is recycled, reassigned as if the person never lived.
- Institutional records fade, digital accounts are erased, and what was once a life—a name, a history, a contribution—vanishes.
Everything issued is taken away. The world forgets. The system moves on. It was never truly yours to begin with.
But why? Why was identity ever something that could be given or taken away?

Employment & Financial Systems
A person is either approved or denied—always at the discretion of an external authority.
End of Life Records
A final deletion. A name reduced to an entry in a death index. A number reassigned. A history erased.
SSDEI: Reversing a Fundamental Injustice
Identity is not a number. Not a certificate. Not an entry in a database.
Identity is self-evident. It is built through experience. It is owned by the individual. And it does not end.
SSDEI reclaims identity as a human right—one that is:

Yet, for generations, this is exactly what has been allowed.
